XPSL Vegas: Kolohe Rookie 8th place, Kidz 3rd
12/1/2006 Jean, NV (aka Vegas)
Kolohe Rookie went 5-2 in prelims to be seeded 12th of 67 teams. They went on earn enough points to finish in 8th place overall for the event. Big :tup: for our first full 7 man rookie squad.
Kolohe Kidz and Paintballwebpages.com (Kolohe kidz II) seeded 4th and 8th in prelims out of 17 teams. Finals gave all 17 teams a second chance in double elimination rounds. Kolohe Kidz nabbed 3rd place and 5th place overall for the season, while Paintballwebpages.com ended up in 9th place.
Kolohe Novice got 5-7 G's every game except one, yet could not pull out a win. With no coach, captain, parent or adult to help them they seemed to struggle each game. Valuable lessons learned and they still have high spirits and will be making their mark in 2007

Kolohe Places 4th at Riot and 5th at Splat Affiliate

Riot Series Sc Village: We went undefeated in prelims including a win against Splat Kids, only to lose by 1 or 2 bodies in each of our 3 games in finals. It was a long but fun day. Splat Affiliate @ Warped Sports: Perhaps pushing ourselves too much we decided to skip sleep and drive 3+ hours to attend an XPSL affiliate to get our 25 points. After starting the morning off very strong and winning 3 games straight, we dropped our last game which put us 10 points out of 4th place. We placed 5th and got to go home and rest :)

Kolohe Places 19th in NPPL OC - 15th Overall

Our NPPL Kolohe team missed Sunday, which would have been their 3rd straight time to Quarterfinals, by a mere 10 POINTS! Going 5 and 3 we beat some tough teams in a very hard bracket. Finishing 15th overall was a great accomplishment for these group of kids who worked hard all season to attend 4 of the 5 NPPL events with a little more practice and hard work there will be no stopping these guys who have stuck together now for their 2nd straight season.

Kolohe Kidz Place 4th in XPSL Event #4

Over 20 teams entered. Kolohe Kids made finals in 14th place and won 4 games straight to end up in 4th place.
Again short handed for XPSL, a mixed roster of Kolohe players ended up in 11th place yet played very strong beating some tough teams and just falling short of finals. Thank you to Marco and Lance for guesting with us this event!

Stolen Gear Bag!!

Jeremy Himmel's gear bag was stolen from the back of one of our teammate's car on Sunday after NPPL. Jeremy is not a rich kid and needs his gear and personal affects back. The Marker, Tank, Hopper and barrel were sold to PEVs San Diego a couple days later and we are working to get them back to Jeremy.
However many items are still missing. If you are, or know the person responsible, PLEASE return the stolen goods and money to any Paintball store in San Diego. We WILL NOT PRESS CHARGES, we simply want Jeremy's stuff back. He is not a rich kid my any means and worked hard for everything he owned in that bag.
Please do the right thing and return the gear and money. Please contact me on AIM at teamkolohe or email kolohe@teamkolohe.com to discuss the return of the items. Missing are: A nXe gear bag, a Skull Mask, a team jersey, a watch and other personal affects.
Kolohe D3 Places 12th in San Diego; Kids get 2nd Place

Kolohe D3 got faced with in our opinion the "toughest" Draw in D3. Top teams like Drama, Vengeance, ATR, Splat Kids and Never would make it a fight to make quarters. Kolohe however beat out ATR, Vengeance and Drama to secure 5 wins and place 14th going into Sunday. Though we dropped 2 tough games on Sunday, we got a taste of glory by playing our best against Air Assault Factory winning very quickly 99-3. We placed 12th overall and look forward to NPPL OC.
Kolohe Kids entered 2 teams. Both teams won their first game, however Kolohe Kids Blue only lost one game and went on to place 2nd overall. Kids Black played very well and even with some tough calls placed 7th overall of 15 teams.

Kolohe Places 2nd and 4th at the Velocity 5-Man
7/1/2006 Ramona, CA Kolohe entered the event as Killer Pizza From Mars thanks to their sponsorship contribution. On a hot day a we managed to place 2nd just behind SOS/SDR. Kolohe Kidz also entered the 5 man facing some tough teams such as Kolohe, SOS, XS-Intensity and a team called Saints who had a guest star appearance from a Pro Player from The Ironmen. Sergio Anaya got a great snap on the Ironman player in one game, however the highlight of the day goes to Joe Rote from the Kidz team for pulling off a 4 on 1 vs. XS-Intensity .

Kolohe Places 14th of 62 teams in Tampa NPPL

Kolohe went 5 and 0 on Friday to end the day in 4th place. Then won the first game of the day on sat to secure a spot in the Quarter Finals. We ended up in 10th place after prelims and 14th overall.
Tampa and Indian Shores, where we stayed, we're great! The beaches were nice; the weather was warm, even when it rained. The food was delicious; Busch Gardens was the best park I've been too! We'll be back next season :D A huge thanks to Wilburn Construction for helping to make this event possible!
Kolohe Rookie Places 4th, Kolohe 3 man gets 1st

We entered 3 team. A 5-man Rookie Team, a 5- man Young Guns team, 3 man team. Everyone played great and we brought home 2 trophies that day. This year the events are in Acton at Paintball Fury, which is further than Redlands, but still a good location for the events.

Kolohe Kidz Place 2nd in Young Guns at NPPL HB 2006

Kolohe Kidz were one of 6 top young gun teams to be invited to NPPL HB 2006. They placed second in prelims securing a spot in finals and the chance to play on the grandstand. Good job to 1st place Fuzion and to our friends on Wrecking Crew and Island Breed.
Kolohe D3 struggled on friday, however they kept their heads high and won all their games on Sat. to place 36th of 72 teams. Watch out for us at our next event!

4th Place at Cal Jam 9

We played in the 5 man division. Out of30+ teams we placed 4th, losing by just one body to Circle Factory in Ironman finals.
We had a great time and even got interviewed by the OutDoor Network, so look for us on TV :). Thanks to Gio, Shawn and the staff of Hollywood sports for putting on a great event!
